- Aims and Objectives:
a. To organize social events for the enjoyment of members, and their family and friends.
b. To encourage actions that will promote the health of Methuen Lake and surrounding ecosystem.
c. To promote water and fire safety awareness.
d. To represent Methuen Lake on the HBMLA (Havelock Belmont Methuen Lake
Association) in order to keep MLCA members informed of relevant Township issues and represent members at Township Council, as specifically directed by the members of the Methuen Lake Cottagers Association.
e. To maintain a membership list for distribution of annual newsletter and other information of interest to members, and contact list for distribution to all property owners. The contact list shall not be used for promotional purposes. - Membership in the Association shall be limited to cottage owners on the lake, with a limit of one vote per registered lot.
- Dues shall be $25.00 per annum, payable prior to the Annual Meeting of the Association. Any changes to amount shall be approved at the Annual Meeting.
- Annual general meeting will be held during the summer season. Quorum will consist of 15 members for voting issues.
- Executive will consist of up to 8 members: an Executive Committee of four elected positions (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer) and up to four Members at Large. Any five members of the Executive will constitute a quorum. Members at Large may include Past Chair, Event Coordinators, Lake Steward, and other volunteer positions.
- Executive Committee positions of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer will be elected by Association members for a 4-year term at the Annual General Meeting.
